3 Signs You May Want To Consider Retraining Your Brain

If you’re wondering whether or not you’re a good candidate for brain rewiring, you are in the right place! In this blog post, we are going to discuss 3 signs you should consider retraining your brain.

1. You Are Sensitive to Things in Your Environment

Maybe you get symptoms after eating certain foods, sometimes even whole foods like vegetables or fruits. You also may get symptoms after being in older buildings that have higher levels of mold and mycotoxins. It could also be that you are sensitive to chemicals such as perfume, candles, or cleaning supplies. Some people are even sensitive to high levels of wifi or EMF. The symptoms greatly vary.

Some people have neurological type symptoms such as brain fog or anxiety. Others may have physical pain, fatigue, or digestive issues. If this sounds like you, then you are likely a great candidate for rewiring because here’s the hope: The problem isn’t necessarily the things in the environment. The root cause of why you’re reacting is an impaired limbic system, which is the part of the brain responsible for the fight, flight, or freeze stress response. Once you balance your limbic system with brain rewiring, you will be able to tolerate the foods and things in the environment like you could prior to getting sick.

2. You Live on an Emotional Rollercoaster

One day you’re joyful, happy, and able to function well. The next day you’re down. You have all kinds of symptoms and you’re experiencing a low mood, lack of motivation, and it seems like your thoughts are all over the place for no reason. This occurs when someone has a stressed limbic system. It doesn’t necessarily matter what the stressors were whether it was mold, an infection, emotional trauma, stress at work, etc.

People who have chronic symptoms that are up and down affecting many different body systems, have a stress response going on in their body that in my opinion, should be addressed with brain retraining. But when you calm this stress response and become more resilient, you’re able to bounce back and be in a state of homeostasis where your mood is stable. The good news is that if you feel like you’re an emotional rollercoaster, whether you’re on the couch in a depressed mood, you’re quick to lash out in anger towards others, or you feel like your thoughts are out of control, you CAN get out of it with consistent brain retraining.

3. You Have Multiple Chronic Symptoms in Different Body Systems That You Haven’t Been Able to Get Relief From

When I got sick I had a perfect storm of stressors. I was working overnight as a labor nurse, super stressful, I was living in an old moldy home, along with some other emotional stressors at the time. When I got hit with over a dozen symptoms, it seemed like it was basically overnight. I rode the struggle bus and went to dozens of doctors seeking answers.

All of a sudden I had all these infections and toxicities: heavy metals, Lyme, mold toxicity, parasites, etc. Taking supplements for those infections and toxicities can be great but for me, it was just a bandaid. I had to balance my limbic system in order to get rid of the symptoms that were basically all over my body. The symptoms I experienced were brain symptoms, gut symptoms, bladder symptoms, you name it. I know many of you can probably relate. You have multiple symptoms that seem unrelated.

If you have multiple chronic symptoms, it’s likely related to the fight, flight, or freeze stress response that is occurring in your brain… the limbic system. This occurs because of an ACCUMULATION of different stressors throughout life, not just one. If you have a mold illness diagnosis, it’s likely not the only thing going on. I made the mistake of chasing that for years with supplements, diets, protocols, and labs only to find out that I had to address my limbic system.

Consider Retraining Your Brain

If you have multiple random different symptoms that come and go. Or maybe you have fatigue one day and not so bad the next, then you should consider retraining your brain by addressing the limbic system which is initiating the stress response causing cortisol, adrenaline, and norepinephrine to flow through your body in high amounts, leading to symptoms.
